About the event

Join us for this SPECIAL HERBAL TOPICS PROGRAM,  featuring some of our student's absolute favorite classes from Clinical Herbal Valerie Blankenship and Herbal Pharmacist Yaremi Davila, as well as some brand new topics taught by our favorite Herbal fairy Brigitte Mars! Please note: This is not an official Women of Colorado event. This event is being hosted by a trusted events provider, whom we have worked with in the past through our ambassadors. 

This is a three class series, with the following dates/times and topics being covered! 

Class Descriptions:

Day 1 - November 16th:

  • Far Out, Fabulous Fermentations, an all day event  from 9:30 - 3:30 (w/1 hr lunch break). Delve into the fascinating history and amazing health benefits of a variety of fermented vegetables, medicinal herbs, kefir, and special yogurts containing probiotics that have been lost to the modern microbiome. Both dairy and non-dairy options. You will get to sample lots of ferments and go home with your own jar that you make yourself.

Day 2 - November 23rd:

  • Holistic Diagnostic Techniques, 9:30 am - Noon. Explore time tested methods of reading the body through the eyes, face, hands, meridians, voice, handwriting, and body language.
  • Survival Skills on a Perilous Planet - 1:00 - 3:30. Develop urban and wilderness survival skills that include herbal remedies that can enhance your life and ability to make good decisions during challenging times.

Day 3 - December 7th:

  • Hands on Tincture Making - 9:30 am - Noon. Discover both the professional and folk methods for preparing superb quality tinctures from both fresh and dried herbs at home using both the maceration and percolation methods. You will take home your own 4-oz tincture.
  • Herbal First Aid + Poultice Making - 1:00 - 3:30. Be ready to act efficiently in an emergency and learn the skills to build a first aid kit to quickly and effectively deal with bleeding, shock, twisted ankles, bruises, pain, wounds, broken bones and much more.
